My father, Alfred Carroll, is an artist and I convinced him to paint me three pictures of Vig and Grim from 1995 to 1997. You have to know my father to understand how difficult it was to get him to do this. It wasn't difficult because he didn't love me. On the contrary, I always knew he did, but he had no imagination for fantasy...none! He was a very practical man, with practical tastes that ran more towards country western and landscapes. After months of badgering him, he finally relented and painted the pictures. I think they turned out well. This was back when Grim was a barbarian/knight. The three paintings when taken in order tell a story. Look really close at the upper left of the first picture and you'll see the dragon flying over the caste. These are three of my most prized possessions and hang in my house. I hope you enjoy.
